Mayor Steve Adler recently reassigned certain roles on his staff:

Consistent with this office’s focus on mobility and affordability, John-Michael Cortez, formerly the Chief of Staff, is now Special Assistant to the Mayor to allow him to focus on transportation strategy and the city’s rewrite of the land development code known as CodeNext.

Senior Policy Advisor Lesley Varghese has returned from maternity leave and is now being promoted to the position of Chief of Staff. This Office is grateful to Kirk Rudy, who served on a volunteer basis as Senior Advisor to Mayor Adler, for his organizational leadership and support during Ms. Varghese’s maternity leave.

Director of Community Engagement Jim Wick is now Director of Council Affairs and will serve as the Mayor’s point of contact for City Council Agenda items.
